As you know, we celebrate WOMEN’S DAY every year on the 8th of March. But do we actually need a day to celebrate their presence and essence? Women across the globe have marked their existence everywhere. They have influenced the world, especially in the technology and IT industries.

Having said this, let’s talk about some of the women who impacted the SaaS industry. What challenges they are facing. How they are overcoming them and so on. After all, it is their day and deserves special mention about such notable women.

Women and the SaaS industry:

How is the SaaS industry for women? Are they leaping against all odds and shining?

Well, the reality is, women have shown how successful they can be in any industry. Women are taking on key positions and successfully incorporating technology into services.

Industry-specific HRs say that women are competent in empathetic thinking, and the SaaS industry absolutely needs this.

The IT industry had about 31% of women in tech jobs across the globe in 2021. According to Gartner’s research, it is not a bad figure. Women in this sector will grow in the years to come as more women are keen to join this sector.

What factors contribute to women’s employment in the SaaS industry?

The increasing number of job opportunities in this sector is the first reason. Besides that, women are slowly adopting this industry. There are about 31-45% women in the Saas sector alone in this financial year. So, is it not positive growth?

For instance, when it comes to SaaS product development & marketing , many women are getting into marketing. These two functions need continuous development and upgrading. And, women are tuning themselves for these. They understand the need and impacting the industry.

Challenges faced by women in the SaaS industry?

Although we see leaps and bounds of positivity for women in this industry, there are some challenges. Of course, these are not formidable.

Women need a unique push-up from the government as well as corporates. SaaS-based courses and incentives will push more women towards this field.

We should precisely shape the work environment for women. Say, for instance, a work from home or a more balanced office and home schedules will do good for them. Working women, as we know, are needed in homes and offices alike. When given a comfortable working atmosphere, the results will be amazing.

Corporates and governments should develop a policy that allows women to balance their work. When this happens, we will see more women empowering the industries.

Despite such odds here and there, some women marked their presence in this industry. Here are some mighty tech ladies in the SaaS sector.
